The Walk for Wellness & Suicide Prevention

An annual walk in Lacombe, Alberta dedicated to bringing awareness to mental health and suicide

What this is?

  • Since 2011,  the walk has been hosted to go around Crana Lake, Lacombe, AB to bring awareness about mental health and prevention against the suicide of ALL individuals. 
  • It is our mission to encourage conversation about suicide and mental health, to provide information and hope, and to foster prevention through wellness.
  • We will work together to raise awareness and in memory of those we’ve lost to this global issue.
  • Everyone is welcome, no preregistration required. Please wear a white t-shirt.
  • For fundraising purposes towards future events and the services of Anam Rural Youth Association, there will be a silent auction on site as well as white shirt sales.
  • A featured speaker, Deena Kordt of Life Changes & Divorce Magazine, and Louise Rellis of Anam Rural Youth will be speaking at the event.
